I would like to acknowlege the ancient practice of tattooing and its deep significance in many cultures. From Polynesian Tatau to Indigenous markings, tattoos have long served as holding symbols of story, identity and spirit.

Wondering how it all works?
You have emailed and filled out the prompts to the best of your ability, if you are not sure on placement or design, this is okay! These are things we can talk about in person at the appointment, I promise it’s much easier when it’s all in front of you. The most important factor to include is an idea of the size you want it to be so I know how much time to set aside for our session. Photos are also amazing! Including any designs and tattoos that I’ve done, helps give me an idea of what you like and don’t like which will come in handy in the appointment when designing your tattoo.
You arrive at the appointment; if you are getting a specific flash piece that you have already decided on, we will simply talk about placement and begin the tattoo process. If you are not getting a specific flash piece, we will look over the images you sent and any more that has caught your eye and have a long conversation about what you like, don’t like, placements, composition, feelings, dreams etc. (Also do not stress if you have changed your mind since sending the email because this is perfectly fine and normal)
Then once we are on the same page, I will either draw something on the Ipad with your guidance and stencil it on, or we will do a freehand. A freehand is my favourite way to design a tattoo, they will always be unique and personal and they complement the body itself. I work by layers, finding the shape and slowly building up the details.
Once you are happy with the way it feels and looks, we will begin the tattoo.
(remember that this guide is not strict or set in stone as every tattoo is unique as is each session, so keep an open mind and heart and don’t worry too much about having everything planned out perfectly, its super common for people to come in having no clue what they are going to get!)
I’ve made a step by step guide of how my tattoo exchanges usually go, as they are a little different to a regular tattoo exchange:
